EV Realty raises $75 million, breaks ground on electric truck charging hub in San Bernardino

In a significant move for the electric vehicle infrastructure landscape, EV Realty has secured a $75 million equity commitment from NGP, bolstered by contributions from its management team. This funding is pivotal for scaling its Powered Properties portfolio, particularly the construction of a 76-stall fast charging hub in San Bernardino, California. This facility is designed to accommodate over 200 Class 8 trucks daily, addressing the urgent need for reliable charging solutions in the commercial fleet sector. EV Realty, established in 2022, aims to provide turnkey, scalable charging solutions by developing strategically located, grid-ready properties that cater to freight and logistics customers.

The San Bernardino charging hub is strategically positioned near the San Bernardino Intermodal Facility and major freight corridors, enhancing its accessibility for regional and short-haul fleet operators. With a robust 9.9 MW of grid capacity and advanced DC fast charging ports, including megawatt charging pull-through stalls, this project is set to play a crucial role in supporting the growing demand for electric truck charging infrastructure. As EV Realty's CEO Patrick Sullivan emphasizes, the company’s strategy is designed to ensure stability amid evolving policies and market conditions, ultimately delivering cost-effective and reliable charging solutions for commercial fleets.
